LEGO INDUSTRY

Franchise - a collection of media products (films, TV programmes and videogames) based on one original work, such as Harry Potter

Synergy - where different industries in media work together to promote a product, for example the Lego Movie features DC Super hero's in their film

Tent-pole production - a film with a high budget that uses their profits to fund other projects

Ensemble cast - a large cast with diverse characters which enables the audience to relate to one of them

Conglomerate - a large business organisation that owns lots of other companies

Vertical integration - where a single (or merged) company controls the production and the supply of a product. For example, TT fusion (owned by Warner Bros) makes the video game and Warner Bros then distributes it
